It’s back to school time! The most wonderful time of the year but also a sneaky expensive time of year.
Let’s forget college for a minute (that’s a whole other beast) and focus on K-12 for the kids. According to the National Retail Federation, families expect to spend an average of $890 on back-to-school supplies this year.
Admittedly, clothes and electronic devices make up the lion’s share of that measure but the traditional stuff - pencil box, crayons, paper towel roll, box of tissues etc. etc. adds up too. Target and Wal-Mart Back to School aisles can be as bad as a toy store on Black Friday.
I’ll bet you’re thinking - he’s going to talk about inflation, the grind of cherry picking each item on the list or how antiqued supplies like protractors somehow still make the list every year.

1st Day School Supplies offers prepackaged Back to School supply kits for anyone. The kits come in a compact decorative box and it’s delivered directly to your child’s school. Everything will be waiting for them when they walk into the classroom on their first day.
Most school districts participate by submitting a list for each grade level. 1st Day School Supplies curates and packages the items as a single order. No need to cherry pick through thumbnail tiles and build a cart for yourself.
If your school does not participate, you can still order items individually and have them shipped to your home or possibly the school if allowed. The whole process took 5 minutes to complete and provides a receipt and breakdown of the order.
